Rehabilitation is not limited to those pets recovering from illness or injuries, it is greatly beneficial for older and geriatric animals or those suffering from chronic conditions that require extra care.
As our pets age they can suffer from a number of medical conditions including weight gain, joint pain and soreness, decreased flexibility, strength and mobility. Any one of these factors can affect our pets enjoyment of daily activity and quality of life.
Working in collaboration with your Veterinarian and other specialist Staff, ARC will design a Geriatric Wellness program which include a gentle exercise programme, nutritional advice and may recommended modalities such a massage, heat therapy, laser therapy and hydrotherapy.
With our senior pets and those with chronic conditions our aim with rehabilitation is to maintain or improve quality and longevity of life.
If needed, we can also guide you in assessing and monitoring your pet’s quality of life.
