When your pet comes to ARC we try to make home rehabilitation exercises as practical as possible.
Through the use of videos and photos and showing you on your own dog how to conduct the exercises, you can continue the exercises in your own home.
This allows you to maintain your pets progress and you can be directly involved in your pet’s rehabilitation treatment.
A home exercise programme can incorporate:
- Manual therapies;
- Specific therapeutic exercises;
- Nutritional support and weight guidance.
- Home modifications advice;
- Advice on restrictions of activity during the rehabilitation period;
- For those pets who have significant mobility issues at home, we will provide assistance and information on short or long term assistive devices.
